PCWKGA Local Rules
Putt everything out, every hole. The only exception is when you are playing in a tournament in which all scores are not needed and your score is not to be posted, i.e., the Shamble or a Scramble.
Always play your ball as it lies unless told otherwise.
When "rolling the ball in the fairway only" or when "rolling the ball everywhere" is in effect, roll your ball within one club face no closer to the hole.
When "lift, clean and place" is in effect, mark your ball first, then lift and clean your ball then replace your ball within one club face, which is as close to the original spot as possible.
For Scramble, Alternating shot, or any other drop to play action, drop your ball within one clubhead of the original spot, in the same status as the original ball, fairway in fairway, sand in sand, and rough in rough.
Hole #7 - The clump of trees to the right front of the green is now marked with white stakes. If your ball lands in this area, please treat this area as a lateral hazard (red stake), 1x stroke penalty. Do not play your ball inside this area.
Pinecrest is littered with geese.
If your ball lands in a sand trap hindered by geese footprints, rake out the area and re-place your ball.
If your ball lands in goose poop, you may roll your ball one clubface from the original spot. Cleaning the ball is not allowed, unless otherwise noted.
Special notes pertaining to common rule infractions:
Out of Bounds (OB):
When hitting a ball OB, or even potentially OB, be prepared to re-tee and hit a provisional ball OR be prepared to drop a ball back in the fairway where the original ball entered OB - this is the preferred option !!!
Once you leave the tee box, the Association discourages going back to the tee box to hit your next shot.
Lost Ball
The maximum time allowed to find a lost ball is 3 minutes.
If the original ball is not found. A lost ball is treated like an OB. Drop a ball back in the fairways (2x stroke penalty). Going back to the original spot to re-hit is discouraged. If the original ball is found but is deemed unplayable, then be prepared to hit your next shot two club lengths from where the ball was found and not closer to the hole (1x stroke penalty).
