List of Improvements
Hole #9
List of Improvements
Each year, our association sends a letter to the Management team at Pinecrest requesting improvements. Listed below are the contents of that letter. In general, we applaud the maintenance staff at Pinecrest for the overall condition of the course in 2023, especially the improvement in the quality and speed of the greens. We also want to recognize the effort applied towards the new reconditioned tee boxes @ holes #5 & #15.
Playability
Continue to remove dead trees.
Continue to prune trees impacting play.
Priority - Hole #2 at the red tee box
Hole #4 & #8 at the blue tee box
Hole #14 at all 3x tee boxes. - trees on the right should be pruned back
This must be a yearly maintenance objective.
Continue to Improve tee box conditions across all holes.
Priority - Hole #3 at the gold tee box.
Provide a rake at every sand trap and for large sand traps, one at each end.
Invest in better rakes, witnessed too many broken rakes by mid-season.
Safety
Add safety net or screen on the Left side of Hole #3 from the tee box areas.
The new senior living complex, which is now fully occupied, continues to be a prime target for wayward shots from the tee box.
Maintenance & Aesthetics
Reduce the Geese herd.
We don’t need to tell you how problematic the geese are but this past year there were way too many geese, and their droppings everywhere. Other golf courses in the area have solved this problem.
Improve pond filtration & water circulation systems.
Suggest bringing back the fountains. Plus, adding a fountain on #11 pond would be very appealing from Doylestown Road.
Poison Ivy.
Poison Ivy is everywhere especially near the Red & White stakes. Suggest spraying to eliminate or at least to minimize.
Heaters
Add heaters to the patio area to support outdoor activity during the chillier months.
